To get the LED working, you need to have root, an app to write to /system and change file permissions. Root Explorer for example.
Grab the two changed files from here: https ://github.com/TheMuppets/proprietary_vendor_motorola/commit/235bc642dbfdd55d450f4f806db68f8146f7561b
(Click "View", then "Raw", then "Save page as" in the case of the txt, if your browser doesnt download it by itself)
Use Root Explorer or similar to copy the 2 files to /system/etc/firmware on your Moto X Play. You have done it correctly if there is a prompt to overwrite files.
- Use Root Explorer or similar to make sure both files have permissions 644 (they will probably not, by default). Thats RW/R/R if you didn't know.
- If done correctly a couple of seconds after the reboot there will be a notification and then a prompt to "Uninstall Motorola Sensor Suite". Agree, let the device reboot again.
- LED is working
