- Needs root access (with "Superuser" or "SuperSU" app)
- Needs USB host
- Needs a powered USB hub (unless your device has plenty of power)
- Some devices (e.g. Samsung) need additional kernel drivers
- Your modem must provide serial ports and use the standard PPP protocol
This app is free. No ads. No data gathering.
Warning: there is no guarantee that every Android/modem combo will work. Don't blame me!

This widget is a frontend for the PPP daemon which enables Internet access over almost any USB device with modem capabilities, including mobile phones.
For 3G sticks, the usb_modeswitch tool is included to bring them into modem mode, in most cases fully automatic.
Even if this app needs root access for device preparation and building the connection, it does NOT alter any system files!

Funcionou perfeitamente A500 Iconia + ZTE Modem Sem comentários!!!! Funcionou de primeira no meu Acer Iconia A500....Como pode um aplicativo tão simples fazer algo que me parecia até alguns minutos atrás impossível??? E ainda ser grátis??? Parabéns aos desenvolvedores e deixo aqui meus agradecimentos...me pouparam o trabalho de vender o meu tablet e comprar um com modem 3g embutido. Eu irei divulgar esse aplicativo em blogs aqui no Brasil. OBS: toda vez que o tablet entra em modo de espera o PPP widget é desligado, poderiam arrumar uma solução para isso? /////////////////////// No comments!! It worked first on my Acer Iconia A500 .... How can such a simple application to do something that seemed impossible until a few minutes ago?? And still be free?? Congratulations to the developers and I leave here my thanks ... saved me the job of selling my tablet and buy one with 3g modem built. I will disclose that application on blogs in Brazil. Note: everytime the tablet enters standby PPP widget is off, could get a solution to this? Thanks
